It was the last high school game for Kami Morse and Liberty Laker

O-K Blue Conference co-champion Hamilton ended Wayland’s softball season 4-2 Saturday morning in the semifinal round of the Division 2 regional tournament at Berrien Springs.

The Hawkeyes, who improved their overall season record to 34-6, pushed across the winning runs in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie.

Sophomore hurler Harmony Laker went the distance on the mound and absorbed the loss.

The offensive highlight of the game for the Wildcats was a massive home run belted by freshman Madi Ludema.

Wayland concluded its season with an overall record of 31-10 and captured the O-K Gold Conference and district tournament championships.

Vicksburg defeated Edwardsburg in the other semifinal and then turned back Hamilton in the finals to advance to the quarterfinals.
