The heat index was so high Saturday that the fall softball tournament at Whistlestop Field in Byron Center was canceled. Wayland High School varsity coach Cheri Ritz commented, “All my years of coaching and never had that happen…” Regardless, WHS alums (from left) Mallory Teunissen, Leigha Morse and Bethany Teunissen had a chance to get in some socializing.
