Wayland’s Cory Ainsworth and Hopkins’ Kennedy Helderop, both seniors, have been named to the Associated Press Division 2 all-state honorable mention unit in basketball. Ainsworth was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Wildcats, who finished the season with an overall record of 12-9. Helderop was the leading scorer and playmaker as senior point guard for the Vikings, who ended up with an 11-8 record.
