Hopkins boys go 14-6, Martin finishes at 10-10

The Martin and Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball teams concluded their regular seasons Thursday evening.

Hopkins lost 55-43 to Tri-Unity Christian to finish its regular season with a record of 14-6, a mark shared by the Defenders.

Martin bested Galesburg-Augusta 59-27 to even its overall season record at 10-10.

Hopkins, Martin and Wayland boys’ teams will compete in the district tournaments next week. Martin will be host for the Division 4 tourney, playing Kalamazoo Phoenix at 7 p.m. Monday. Hopkins and Wayland will be at Hastings for the Division 2 competition, but pairings have yet to be determined..
