Sophomore Helena Kerber and freshman Kambria Moored both finished in the top 10, but the Hopkins girls had to settle for fourth place in the final O-K Silver Conference cross-country meet of the season Tuesday at the Ironwood Golf Course.

Kerber crossed the finish line in 20:07.5, good for fourth, and Moored finished sixth with a time of 20:34.10.

The Lady Vikings accumulated 77 points as a team among five league units that qualified. Calvin Christian won with 44 points.

Neveah Helderop took 16th place, Abigail Zalis was 26th and Navayha 33rd.

Godwin Heights. NorthPointe Christian and Kelloggsville had individual runners but not enough to qualify as a team.

The Hopkins boys finished fifth among the six Silver teams with 118 points. Sparta won with 31 points and Calvin Christian was second.

Adam Ball crossed the line first for the Vikings in 17:55.51, Caleb Beilby was 24th, Kenyon Katje 29th, Ryan Williams 30th and Nathan Onderlinde 40th.
