The Hopkins girls’ varsity basketball team claimed its fourth victory of the season Tuesday evening, 40-35 at Allegan.
The Vikings started the season very slowly, losing their first seven contests, but have won four of their last six since.
Hopkins enjoyed big leads early, 6-3, 23-6 and 34-17 at the end of the first three periods and then had to fight off a late change by the Tigers to make the final count reasonably close.
Madison Kerber scored 10 points for the Vikings and Antoinette Ware had 11 for Allegan.
