Hopkins High School graduate Brenden Gossman tied for first place over the weekend in the American Heartland 3 bowling tournament at Southwyk Lanes in Toledo, Ohio. Gossman, a Division 3 all-state selection when he rolled for the Vikings, had scores of 206, 231, 175 and 195 to tie Derek May of Bowling Green State University with 867 total pins over the four games. There were 29 individual bowlers in the competition.
