The Hopkins Volleyball team went on the road for the second straight night Thursday to compete in a tri-meet at Hamilton, coming away with another split.

The Lady Vikes won their first match against Ionia (25-21, 33-31) and really battled in the extended second set.  In the second match, the girls battled hard, but lost in three sets (22-25, 25-18, 10-15).

The back-to-back non-league matches were held to prep Hopkins for the O-K Silver Conference meet Saturday, when it hopes to gain at least a share of the league title. The Vikings are 6-1 in dual matches, trailing only NorthPointe Christian in the standings,

Individual statistical leaders Thursday evening were:

• Kills: Corrie Wisser 21, Kate Cleypool 19, Mady Weber/Peyton Roxbury 8, Lilly Iciek 4, Lyla Reynolds 2.

• Assists: Corrie Wisser 39.

• Blocks: Corrie Wisser 3, Lilly Iciek/Mady Weber 1.

• Aces: Kylee Sykes 4, Corrie Wisser/Lilly Iciek/Kate Cleypool 1.

• Digs: Ellie Sebright 29, Corrie Wisser 25, Kate Cleypool 18, Mady Weber 17, Kylee Sykes 9.

Hopkins will take an overall record of 29-11-4 into the Silver meet Saturday and the district tournament will get under way Monday.
