It’s the end of the line for Townbroadcast

“Take this job and shove it. I ain’t working here no more.” — Johnny Paycheck

Because Associate Reporter Joe Schultz no longer can contribute, Editor-Proprietor David T. Young says he’s too old to keep up with news and sports developments and continue with a quality independent news service for NE Allegan County.

I am sad to see it go, but understand. I have logged in every day for the past 10 years and enjoyed all the writers.

    Nooooo☹️!
What a bummer! I have enjoyed reading your “scrappy little newspaper”😉Mr. Young.
I have depended on it for many updates and I have appreciated it when you brought many items “into the light” when others would have preferred to sweep it under the rug.
Thank you for the many years of a great read!

No!!! I say a big NO! Happy for you but sad for our community. Love reading your articles and staying in the loop of what’s happening in our area. Makes me sad we can’t continue Town Broadcast .

Any thoughts on a Facebook Page creation to include local news & happenings, sports, obituaries? I feel like this is a way to stay informed on our small towns. I could create one, but wouldn’t have the time to oversee it constantly. What I wouldn’t want is people fighting with each other. If we could get 5-10 common sense minded people to be in charge of approving posts?
