Wayland High School senior Kadence Bottrall has been named to the Michigan 2023 Dream Team in bowling, only one of six girls in the state to achieve the honor.
She was a finalist for the Miss Bowler award.
Bottrall also received a $1,000 scholarship from the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association, the Matt Fiorilo Scholarship.
Reflecting on the ceremony in which his daughter was honored, coach and father Eric Botrall said, “Today was a bittersweet day for me. I can’t be more proud of her. These past four years went by too fast.
“Today she accomplished a goal I set for her four years ago. To be considered to be on the Dream team is very prestigious as it also put her in the running for Miss Bowler.”
Morgan Brunner was named Miss Bowler.
Bottrall was three-time regional champ, four-time All State, made 22 of 24 all-tournament teams in high school invitational. Her individual match play record was 93-3 in O-K Gold Conference competition and she held the highest average all four years in the conference.
She rolled a high game of a 299, a school record. She made match play all four years in at the state finals in singles and helped lead Wayland to two trips to team state finals.
