Hopkins seniors on what they hope to be an undefeated bowling team include Brenden Gossman, Jonathon Ryan, Connor Brookhouse, Josh Glascott, Noah Young and Ezran Tehennepe.

The Hopkins boys’ bowling team is closing in on an undefeated regular season and has clinched its third straight O-K Silver Conference championship.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Gill Monday afternoon added even more excitement as the Lady Vikings and the guys bowled their last match this year at Brewhouse Lanes in Dorr.

Both teams defeated Kelloggsville, the boys won their match 19-11 and the girls won 27-3. Highlight of the day was Gill rolling the first ten strikes, then nine and spare, giving her high game of 289. Kennedy’s 289 puts her second in the state this season for girls’ high individual game.

Gill’s second game score was 181. Hannah Wubben had a great night with 189 and 175.

For the boys, high games were Josh Glascott 238, Brenden Gossman 226, and Ezran Tehennepe 203. Both Viking teams go to Belding Wednesday to finish up rescheduled conference matches. The girls, who have lost only once in dual matches, need to beat Belding Wednesday to take their conference.
