The Hopkins varsity softball team last Thursday dropped both ends of a doubleheader, 14-4 and 15-7, to Kenowa Hills.

Morgan Fifelski threw four and two-thirds innings in the second game, gave up eight hits, two walks and one hit batter.
Maddie Schwann threw an inning and a third in relief, yielding three hits and two walks. Kelsey Dynasty threw a third of an inning gave up four hits and struck out one.
On the offensive side, Lexie Merren had a triple and a homer with five runs batted in.

Kelsey Dusseau threw the first inning and a third and gave up four hits and four walks. Maddie Schwann threw two and two-thirds innings and gave up five hits.

Kylan Winchester had two singles for the Lady Vikings.

Hopkins’s overall season record dropped to 9-4.
