Martin’s girls’ basketball team improved to 5-4 overall with a 64-12 pasting of West Michigan Aviation Academy Tuesday evening.

The Lady Clippers outpaced the visiting Aviators out of the gate, chalking up a 24-point lead after one quarter and a 42-6 cushion at halftime.

Sophomore forward Faith Guritz once again led the scoring frenzy for the Clippers, dropping in 20 points. Jaclyn Hildebrand contributed 12 points. Kiaya Warner posted 10. Freshman Alex Smith topped the scoring for the Aviators, draining two three-pointers for 6 points total.

Coming off two straight wins, Martin will look to carry momentum against the 6-1 Gobles Tigers Friday.
