The Martin varsity softball team’ season came to an end at Lawrence in the Division 4 district tournament title game, 18-0 to Decatur in five innings. “It is hard to say anything positive about the game, but I am proud of their season” said parent Mike Shettler. The team went 11-12 overall this season. Looking forward to next season, the team will have a wealth of returning talent, including pitcher Sophia Shettler, who will be a senior. The Lady Clippers also plan to have a new playing field ready, as a result of the bond project at Martin.
