The lossless defeated the winless Friday night at Parchment High School.

The Martin girls’ varsity basketball team lifted its overall season record to 6-0 with a 53-25 victory et Parchment, a team that hasn’t won yet in seven encounters.

The Lady  had no difficulty in establishing dominance, leading 8-1 after the first quarter, 30-9 at the half and 42-13 after three quarters.
Faith Guritz led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
“She was strong around the rim and went 10-for-12 from the free throw line,” remarked coach Ben Schipper.
Bri Warner had 14 points  and nine steals and sister Kiaya Warner had 13 points. Natalie Yowler and Freddie Elkins had nine and seven rebounds, respectively.
“Both Warners paced our defense tonight with several steals and deflections,” Schipper said. “Jaclyn Hildebrand played a great second half and Natalie Yowler gave us some great minutes off the bench with her presence on the offensive glass. I’m very proud of my team playing as well as we did while still being on the Christmas break.”

The Lady Clippers, who have yielded an average of just 30 points per game in their six triumphs, will be back on the home court Tuesday evening to a non-league encounter with the Kalamazoo Aviation Academy.
