The Martin girls came close again to beating neighborhood rival Delton, but came up three points short Tuesday in a 48-45 verdict.
“We played great with the exception of a few missed free throws and layups” commented coach Doug MacVean.
Faith Guritz dropped in 13 points to lead Martin and Kiaya Warner posted 10. Lillian Howard led the effort for Delton, notching 15 points.
The 7-9 Lady Clippers now gear up for a contest with SAC rival Fennville on Friday.
