Martin’s stellar softball team thus far this season maintained a perfect record Tuesday, sweeping a doubleheader from Allegan.

As usual, it was a combination of strong hitting, powerful pitching, and an opponent who perhaps underestimated Martin.

Game one was an easy win, the Clippers knocked off Allegan 15 to 5. In game two, Martin captured a 13 to 8 decision.

Senior Pitcher Sophia Shettler led game one for Martin, striking out 12 Tigers. Sophomore Kiaya Warner kept the momentum with strong pitching in the second game.

The Clippers sit comfortably at a sterling 6-0 record ahead of their meeting with opponent Watervliet on Thursday.
