The Hopkins volleyball team ran into a couple of quality Division 4 opponents in a tri-meet, losing to both at North Muskegon.

The Lady Vikings lost two of three sets to Mendon, two-time defending state champ in Division 4, by scores of 25-17, 10-25, 16-25.  In the second match, the girls lost 1-2 to host North Muskegon by the scores of 21-25, 27-25, 19-25.

“Both matches were very competitive,” said coach Terri Wisser.

Setter Corrie Wisser came up with 30 assists and Lindsey Bulich added 10. Other individual statistics were:

  • Kills – Brianna Miller 29, Corrie Wisser 10, Avery Roxbury 8, Mady Weber 4.
  • Blocks – Mady Weber/Brianna Miller 4, Corrie Wisser/Kate Cleypool 1.
  • Serving Aces – Corrie Wisser 4, Brianna Miller/Mady Weber 3, Maya Kerber 2, Avery Roxbury/Lindsey Bulich 1.

Hopkins now owns an overall record of 4-2, 1-0 in the O-K Silver Conference.

The Lady Vikings won all three sets on the road at Wyoming Lee Thursday night. They prevailed by scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-7.
