The Hopkins High School varsity volleyball team Thursday night took a giant step toward capturing the O-K Silver Conference championship by defeating perennial favorite Calvin Christian in exciting fashion.
The Lady Vikings erased a 2-1 set deficit to come from behind and take the match in five sets (25-14, 23-25, 17-25, 27-25, 15-9). The victory left them with an overall record of 35-6-4 and 4-0 in league play.
Hopkins has two more league dual matches, against NorthPointe Christian and Wyoming Lee and after that the conference tournament. Right now, it’s in the driver’s seat.
