Colin Weber nailed the game-winning basket with three seconds remaining to propel the Hopkins boys’ baskeball team to a thrilling 51-49 triumph over Sparta Friday night.
Earlier in the evening, Hopkins had its girls’ basketball season record evened at 1-1 in a 45-39 loss to the visiting Spartans.
Hopkins will be at Grand Rapids Northview at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The boys, now 1-1, will play at Hastings at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both are non-conference contests.
