The Hopkins varsity softball team is just two games away from a 25-win regular season.

The Lady Vikings swept nonleague for Comstock Park 10-2 and 13-1 in a doubleheader Monday and they can finish the season with a 25-9 overall record if they can get past Fennville at home Tuesday.

Hailey Burch threw all 7 innings in the opener, gave up 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out two.

Courtney Dusseau had a double and a triple and a double with 3 RBIs tp pace the offensive attack. Hannah VanDeRoovart had a double, catcher Jade Burch had a triple and a single with 2 RBIs and Mikayla Bulich drilled three singles.

Morgan Fifelski threw all 5 inning for Hopkins in the nightcap, yielding 5 hits and a walk, and striking out four.

VanDeRoovart had a triple and a single and Kristi Lenard had a single and a double on the offensive side.
