The Hopkins softball team suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to perennial O-K Silver Conference champion Calvin Christian Monday.

The Squires scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a walkoff hit with two outs.

Hailey Burch threw six and two-thirds innings and gave up 7 hits and 2 runs. Calvin Christian ace Kayleigh  Whitcomb threw all 7 innings, gave up 4 singles, had 8 stikeouts, one walk and a hit batter.
The Lady Vikings now are 15-8 overall for the season, with three of their losses coming at the hands of the Squires.
