The Hopkins varsity volleyball team defeated Belding in three sets Thursday.
The Lady Vikes received contributions from several players and improved their conference record to 7-1 heading into the O-K Silver Conference tournament Saturday. The scores for the match vs. Belding were 25-13, 25-16, 25-11.
Hopkins individual stat leaders were:
• Assists: Corrie Wisser 23.
• Kills: Brianna Miller 12, Corrie Wisser/Lindsey Bulich 6, Mady Weber 5, Avery Roxbury 2, Kate Cleypool ].
• Blocks: Brianna Miller/Natalie McDonald 1.
• Aces: Corrie Wisser 5, Natalie McDonald 4, Brianna Miller 2, Lindsey Bulich/Mady Weber 1.
• Digs: Brianna Miller 12, Lindsey Bulich 6, Corrie Wisser/Sierra Smith 4, Ryley Dykstra/Maya Kerber 3, Ellie Sebright/Avery Roxbury/Mady Weber 2.
The Lady Vikings will take a 7-1 dual match record into Saturday’s league meet, in second place behind Calvin Christian. They are 15-8 overall.
