The Hopkins softball team last week defeated Godwin 18-2, but lost to Allendale 11-4 Saturday in the finals of the Allendale Invitational.
The Lady Vikings played three times on Saturday, defeating Greenville 19-0 earlier in the day and using a four-run burst in the sixth inning to get past Morenci 8-6 in the semifinal round.
Hailey Burch threw all three innings in the shortened mercy-rule victory Monday over Godwin and gave up 3 hits, walked none and had 3 strikeouts.
Hannah VanDeRoovart had a double and a single. Jade Burch had a double and a single

Hailey Burch threw three innings and gave up 1 hit and had 1 K in the blanking of Greenville. Lexi Merren had a single and a home run with 3 RBIs VanDeRoovart had a triple, Jade Burch had three singles, Pals had a triple, and Courtney Dusseau had two singles and a double.
Morgan Fifelski threw and a third innings and gave up five hits, four walks, two hit batters and struck out one. She was relieved by Burch, who threw 4 and two-thirds innings and gave up one hit, two hits, one walk and fanned one.
Offensively, Merren had a triple with 3 RBIs, VanDeRoovart had three singles, Lenard had a triple with 3 RBIs
Hailey Burch threw 6 innings against Allendale and gave up 17 hits, 1 HBP, and 3 walks. No one had more than a single.
The Lady Vikings now are 15-7 for the season overall.
