The Hopkins High School varsity volleyball team defeated Allendale Monday in straight sets in the opening round of districts, 25-18, 25-16, 25-21.

The Lady Vikings, with an overall record of 49-6-4, will play Holland Christian in the district semifinal round on their home court at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Tourney favorite Hamilton will play Wayland at 5:30.
