The Hopkins varsity volleyball team opened its O-K Silver Conference season Thursday evening with a three-set sweep over Wyoming Godwin Heights, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-15.

“The team was very balanced tonight with contributions from several players,” coach Terri Wisser said. “It was a good start to the O-K Silver season. We need to continue working towards more consistency and running a crisp offense and defense.”

Statistically, Logan Brummel had 28 assists; Macy Arndt 11 kills, Meghan Schulz 9, Brianna Miller 5 Ashley Bultema and Mikayla Bulich 4 apiece; Meghan Schulz and Mikayla Bulich one block apiece; serving aces Brianna Miller 11, Madison Wyngarden/Mikayla Bulich/Ashley Bultema/Hailey Shank 2,
and Brianna Miller 10 digs, Hailey Shank 6, Kennedy Helderop/Logan Brummel 4

The Lady Vikings’ overall record now is 11-7-2.
