The Hopkins High School varsity volleyball team pushed its overall dual match record this season to 11-5 after a quad meet Saturday on the home floor against Allegan, Holland and Montague.

“The day was filled with good competition and Lady Vikes finished the day with a record of 2-1,” reported coach Terri Wisser.

In the first match, Hopkins defeated Allegan 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-17).  In the second match, the Lady Vikes defeated Holland 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-16).  In the final match, they were defeated by state-ranked Montague (13-25, 18-25, 13-25).

The individual statistical leaders for Hopkins were:

• Assists: Corrie Wisser 58, Lindsey Bulich 10.

• Kills: Brianna Miller 38, Corrie Wisser 16, Mady Weber 13, Lindsey Bulich 7, Avery Roxbury 6, Natalie McDonald 5.

• Blocks: Brianna Miller 4, Lindsey Bulich/Kate Cleypool 2, Corrie Wisser/Natalie McDonald/Avery Roxbury 1.

• Aces: Brianna Miller 7, Corrie Wisser/Avery Roxbury/Lindsey Bulich/Mady Weber 3, Ryley Dykstra 2.

• Digs: Brianna Miller 28, Avery Roxbury 25, Corrie Wisser 21, Sierra Smith 15, Lindsey Bulich 11.

The Lady Vikings, who own a 4-1 record in the O-K Silver Conference, will get another strong test Wednesday against a Hudson Unity Christian non-conference opponent that owns a 13-3 overall record.
