The Wayland girls’ varsity bowling team bowled their way to third place Saturday in the Grand Rapids Christian Invitational.
“It was good that we got everyone a chance to participate today,” said coach Eric Bottrall. “We never seemed to get things going and it’s OK. This is a very special group that will grow from days like today. They all have been working hard every time they practice. I’m truly blessed to have this group of ladies. They are extremely supportive of each other and it will benefit them all by the time we get to regionals and the state finals.”
Breanna Hyde finished seventh individually and Kadence Bottrall took first (561) earn placement on the All-Tournament team. Other high individual games were registered by Haven Baker 149, Izzy Botwinski 145, Breanna Hyde 164 and Kadence Bottrall 203.
Hey Dave! Is there really a girl named Haven Tarnutzer on the bowling team? If so, I would really like to talk to her or meet her. I don’t know of any Tarnutzer relatives nearby.
Thanks! Tom Tarnutzer
As I replied to Sherry Miklusicak, it was a mistake of mine, a Freudian slip.
Lol-Dave!
Haven Tarnutzer did indeed have something to do with Airport Lanes! He built and owned the place for many years! My father worked for him as a pin setter. He passed away many, many years ago. The young lady who you meant to mention is Haven Baker!
Freudian slip?
