It was a mixed bag Monday afternoon for the Wayland varsity bowling teams in their season openers.
The Wildcats girls defeated Division 1 Jenison, but the guys’ group lost by the same score.
Girls’ team coach Eric Bottrall beamed, “We’ve had some powerhouse Wayland girls’ teams in the past and it appears the trend will continue, as the ladies took down Jenison this afternoon.
Finding themselves up 6-4 after the Baker games, Faith Rabideau, Madison Bottrall, Brooke Trumbull and Haven Baker all took points in match one. Haven’s 174 was high score of the night.
In match two, Faith Rabideau, Madison Bottrall, Brooke Trumbull and Haven Baker all took their points again!
