The Wayland girls’ varsity golf team had a wildly successful debut Thursday by taking first place in the Zeeland East Invitational.

The Lady Wildcats bested nine other schools, including the host team, Allegan, Coopersville, Hamilton, Holland Christian, Kenowa Hills, South Haven, West Ottawa and Zeeland West.
