The Wayland softball team quickly left behind its mild mid-season slump Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep at Wyoming.

The Lady Wildcats, with the 16-1 and 14-4 victories, lifted their O-K Gold Conference record to 8-0 and they are now 15-4 overall.

Abby Merice pitched a complete game in the nightcap, allowing seven hits while striking out five.

Bethany Teunissen went 4-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in. Chanlyn Commons was 2-2
and Merice 3-4 with two doubles and an RBI.

Leigha Morse went 3-3 with two doubles and three RBIs, Commons 3-3 with three RBIs Taylor Bell – 1-1 with an RBI and Chloe Coughlin, 1-1.
