The Wayland High School girls’ track team placed sixth among eight teams in an invitational Saturday.
Kenowa Hills was the invitational winner with 837 points and East Grands Rapids accumulated 830.
Wayland ended the day with 357 points, finishing ahead of Wyoming and Comstock Park.
Among the highlights, Brittany Ludwig finished fifth in the high jump with a leap of 4’6″ with Kennedy Richardson clearing the same height and finishing sixth. Brook Mulder was sixth in the discus with a throw of 78’9″. Jaznae Randall finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.78 seconds. The 4 x 400 relay team of Rachel Zywiczynski, Kennedy Richardson, Abigail Hasse and Anna Kidwell ran to a fifth place finish with a time of 4:26.38.
