The Wayland girls’ varsity basketball team absorbed its second upset loss of the season Tuesday night, a 42-37 defeat at Forest Hills Eastern to a team that now sports a 2-5 overall season record.

The Wildcat boys, meanwhile, lost 77-53 to the Hawks on the home court to fall to 1-6. The Lady ‘Cats now are 5-2.

The boys will be at home Thursday evening to face Grand Rapids Catholic Central. The girls will go on the road, meanwhile, to take on the Cougars.

Both teams are scheduled to play at noon Saturday, the boys at home against Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills and the girls at the Bengals’ lair.
