Lady Wildcats win pre-district contest in just 3 innings

The Wayland girls’ softball team defeated Hastings 19-4 Tuesday afternoon in three innings in the Division 2 pre-districts. The Lady Wildcats, now 21-5 on the season overall and O-K Gold Conference champions for the 13th straight season, will move on to the district tournament Saturday at Lakewood High School. They will take on Hamilton at noon. If they win the first round contest, they will play either host Lakewood or Allegan in the district finals at 2 p.m. (Photo supplied)
