Martin High School junior, Lauren Taylor placed second in the Division 4 regional bowling tournament and has become the first Clipper roller to qualify for the state tournamemnt.
Taylor, who averages just shy of 150 this season, rolled a high game of 177 to take 60 among 60 bowlers at the M-66 Lanes in Battle Creek, which will be the site of the state tourney next weekend.
Teammate Keri Cornstubble scored a 161 and Annika Dillenbeck 138.
James Blackburn finished 29th with a 177, Zac Hale and Elliot Long tied for 33rd and Kevin Jelinek was 57th.
The Clippers bowling team’s home matches are rolled at the Rock ‘N Bowl Lanes in Wayland.
