The Hopkins varsity softball team hiked its overall season record to 11-6, 7-3 in the O-K Silver Conference with a 9-4 triumph Wednesday afternoon over Belding.

The Lady Vikings used two offensive rallies to win this one, fueled by two homers by senior Lexi Merren. They scored three times in the first inning and three more times in the third and coasted the rest of the way.

Hailey Burch threw four nnings, gave up five hits and struck out four. Kelsey Dusseau threw the last three innings and gave up two hits.
Merren also had a single and drove in four runs. Kellie Kloska had two singles with two RBIs.
