The boys from Martin couldn’t muster any kind of a lead Tuesday evening and ultimately lost 63 to 51 to Constantine.
The Falcons led for much of the game, posting a 33-26 score at the half. They had reasonably smooth sailing the rest of the way, sinking the Clippers’ hopes to come away with a winning record for the season thus far.
A valiant effort was led by junior Alex Campbell, who notched 16 points to lead Martin in just his third game playing as a Clipper. Because of MHSAA rules, Hardy could not play for the first semester as a transfer student from Otsego.
Constantine was headed in scoring by Seth Wright. He racked up 19 points and wrote in five assists with just as many rebounds. Nolan Malcom contributed 14 points for the Falcons.
The road loss puts Martin at 5-6 overall heading into another road showdown in Watervliet Friday night.
