The Martin High School volleyball team captured the Division 4 district championship Thursday evening by winning in the final round at Tri-Unity Christian.

The Lady Clippers prevailed over Zion Christian in straight sets, 25-9, 25-19 and 25-12. They defeated host Tri-Unity in straight sets in the district semfinals while Zion Christian beat Gobles.

The victories lifted their season record to 14-6-0 overall.

Martin will play Tuesday evening, Nov. 7, in the opening round of the regional tournament at Athens. The Clippers will face Marcellus Howardsville Christian.
