The Martin and Climax-Scotts hybrid wrestling team went 4-1 at the Clipper Classic Saturday.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central wrestling was declared the victor, though, beating seven other teams.

The annual Clipper Classic was held in the new Martin school performance gymnasium, built as part of a 17.1 million dollar bond completed in August.

Tyler Brenner, a coach with the local youth wrestling program, commented on Facebook, “I can’t believe we have such a nice facility now.”.

The facility also includes a dedicated wrestling practice room and indoor track. In years past, wrestling had held practices in the cafeteria due to a lack of space.
