Martin freshman Veyda Conley finished 15th in the state cross-country championship meet Saturday morning at Michigan International Speedway near Brooklyn.
The Clippers’ running sensation finished the five-kilometer course in 19:33.2, eclipsing her previous personal best time by about nine seconds.
Conley, by virtue of her finish, has earned all-state accolades in Division 4. Unfortunately, there are only four runners on Martin’s team so it does not register a team score in dual meet and invitationals.
