The Martin girls’ varsity basketball regional final contest tonight at 6:30 has been canceled by the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

The Clippers boys’ district finals contest Friday evening also has been called off because of the potential threat of the Coronavirus.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association at first insisted that no more than 50 individuals may attend, selected by each competing school’s athletic director, with no admission fee charged, but Thursday afternoon all tourney contests were canceled until further notice.

The Martin girls were set to take their 21-1 record against St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran, which also is 21-1 on the campaign overall, at the Clippers’ gym. The boys’ district final contest Friday evening between host Martin and Holland Calvary also was canceled.
