Martin was host for the SAC Conference championship cross-country meet Thursday night at U.S.-131 Motorsports Park. The girls finished sixth in the conference as a team, and the boys were 11th.

Veyda Conley was all-conference, finishing in seventh place in 20:08.80. Teammate freshman Allison Rodgers was all-league honorable mention by taking 22nd. Sara Schipper was 34th, Emily King 38th and Kayden Jager 55th.

For the boys, Alex Morin made honorable mention by finishing 27th in 18:13.34. He was followed by teammates Jadon Dettmaann 58th, Hunter Hayes 69th, Jeremiah VanHouten 73rd and Gari Salador-Garcia 92nd.

Saugatuck won the boys’ league meet and Gobles took top honors in the girls’ competition.
