The Martin wrestling team captured second place Saturday in the Gull Lake Invitational.
A spokesperson for the program indicated this was an individual tournament and the winning team, Plainwell, had two more wrestlers than Martin – both of whom scored points.
Plainwell won with 230.5 points, Martin had 226, St. Joseph 219.5, Reeths-Puffer 199.5, Harper Creek 189, Fruitport 173.5, Gull Lake 136.5 and Otsego 100.5. All of these participating schools are Division 2, Martin is Division 4.
Earning places for the Clippers were
• Second- 138 – Jayce Ritchie, 150 – Haylen Buell, 157 – Jack Bagwell, 190 – Malcolm Smith.
