Martin turned in the best boys’ team score Wednesday in the Lawrence Tiger Invitational, but was disqualified because it did not field a full complement of five runners.

The Clippers came up with 28 points, but the host school won the competition with 32.

Martin ace Carsen Young, a state meet qualifier a year ago, was individual medalist with a time of 17:38, almost a half minute better than the rest of the field. Teammate Kyle Pallett was sixth at 19:47, Eli Dykstra ninth in 20:10 and Travis Marsman 16th.

The Lady Clippers placed third with 48 points. Zoie Tuinstra was sixth, Mercedes Morin 10th, Chloe Billington 12th, Isabelle Morales 14th and Aiaia Zamanillo 17th.
