Both the Hopkins and Martin High School football teams will play in the MHSAA post-season playoffs this weekend.
Martin, which Friday night polished off a perfect 9-0 season, will be host to a Tekonsha team that went 7-2 at 7 p.m. Friday. The Clippers, who have qualified for the playoffs in all three seasons in has participated in eight-man football, made it to the semifinals in both of the last two years before bowing to the eventual state champion.
Hopkins, which finished its campaign with a 5-4 record by defeating a 5-4 Belding squad that also made the playoffs in Division 5. The Vikings will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Portland. The host Red Raiders were 7-2 for the season overall.
