Martin tabs Corby Callaway as new boys’ hoops coach

Corby Callaway has been chosen new head boys’ varsity basketball coach at Martin High School.

Callaway comes to Martin with experience playing Division 1 basketball at Canisius under John Beilein and he was head girls’ coach for three years at Allegan and junior varsity boys’ coach at Otsego.

Callaway, a former child care worker for Allegan County and a realtor for the past seven years, succeeds Brad Moelker, who stepped down after seven years at the helm. Moelker earlier this year announced he was giving up the high school/middle school principal’s job to go back to being a classroom teacher. Before he came to Martin, he was a middle school teacher at Wayland.

Moelker’s Clippers struggled through the season last year, winning only two games.
