The Martin High School volleyball team won the first round of the Division 4 district tourney by getting past host Tri-Unity Christian.
The Lady Clippers won in three hard-fought straight sets, 27-25, 25-19 and 25-23.
Martin now advances to the district finals at 6 p.m. Thursday against the winner of the other district semifinal Zion Christian.
