Martin’s dual meet wrestling season came to a close Friday in the state Division 4 quarterfinals at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo with a 39-26 loss to St. Louis.
Four individual Clipper grapplers scored victories and two others were awarded forfeits against the No. 2-ranked team in the state.
Logan Gilbert (106 lbs.) won by a 9-3 decision over Owen Fogel of St. Louis.
Cole Reitz (120) defeated Genaro Soto by a 9-2 decision.
Haylen Buell (138) won by a technical fall, 22-7, over Ben March.
Jack Bagwell (150) edged Karson Tweh in a 4-3 decision.
Joshua Wallman (165) and Malcolm Smith (175) both were awarded forfeits.
Martin finished the season as a team as conference, district and regional champions.
