Martin High School senior Carsen Young is carving an athletic history in more than just one sport. Young this week captured the individual championship in his weight division in the Southwest Athletic Conference wrestling meet in a sport in which he was fourth in the state a year ago. Young also earned all-state honors in cross country last fall by placing 16th in the Division 4 meet. He was a member of the Clippers’ state semifinalist in eight-man football for the past two seasons. This spring he’ll try to close out a stellar career in track and field.
