The Martin boys’ varsity basketball Cinderella run came to an end Friday night at Climax-Scotts High School with a 60-35 loss to Tri-Unity Christian in the Division district finals.

The Clippers had a tough regular season with a 5-15 overall record, but came up with two victories in the districts this week. On Monday they turned the tables on a Zion Christian squad they lost to in their season finale and then they took out the host school 52-51 in Wednesday’s district semifinal.

Martin finished with a record of 7-16 and Tri-Unity is 17-6 to advance to the regionals against Muskegon Heights Academy Monday at New Buffalo.
